For Daily Care & Cleaning

Please follow the cleaning procedures provided below to maintain the quality of Okamura furniture. With regular care and maintenance, you can enjoy Okamura furniture with a longer life span and great comfort.​

  • Avoid direct sunlight, high temperature, high humidity, or extraordinary aridity.
  • No outdoor or waterfront use. If the chair gets wet, dry it with a soft cloth.
  • If tea, coffee, detergent or chemicals are spilled on the chair, clean the area immediately to prevent permanent stains.
  • Wipe clean with a dry, soft cloth.
  • Brush with a soft brush or tap the surface softly and vacuum to remove dust to avoid damaging the finishes.
  • When moisture or finger prints adhere to aluminium part, wipe off immediately. Otherwise, it gets oxidized and the olish or texture will be damaged.

Procedures for cleaning a heavily soiled chair

Good Mesh chair

Mesh

  • When it gets dirty after extended period of time, wipe with a well wrung soft cloth moistened with thin neutral detergent.
  • Be sure to wipe detergent completely and wipe again with a dry cloth to dry it.
High end fabric chair

Fabric

  • When using alkaline electrolyzed water to remove stains, spray directly on the stain and brush with a soft brush taking care not to damage the cloth. 
  • Cushion part cannot be dry-cleaned therefore if it is exceptionally dirty, we would recommend to replace it.
Leather chair

Leather

  • When something is spilled, wipe off with a dry cloth immediately.
  • If a stain cannot be removed, wipe off with a cloth dampened with warm water.

Please follow instructions below. Failure may cause serious damage to the product.​

  • Do not disassemble or repair on your own. 
  • Do not use as a carrier or stand on the chair.
  • If found unstable due to loose bolts and screws, tighten them.
  • Do not use in places exposed to vapors. This could cause rusting.
  • Regular maintenance is recommended for long product life. Make requests to us immediately when a repair or inspection is needed (fees required after expiration of warranty).
